On arrival day, relax in the beautiful city of Marrakesh. Go for dinner at the famous Jemaa el Fna square. You’ll have plenty of time at the end of your stay to explore the red imperial city in more detail.

Hop in your private taxi for a 5-hour drive heading towards Ouarzazate through beautiful mountain roads. On the way there, you’ll take a break at the Unesco-site of Aït Benhaddou.

After crossing a pass, you'll find yourself in Kelaa M'Gouna at an altitude of 1400 m (4600 ft).

It is the main town of the Roses Valley (Valley of the Roses), where rose petals are transformed into cosmetics.

Arrival in Bou Tharar and unwind at your inn, run by Mohamed and his family.

A beautiful earthen house in the old village with garden, Berber tent and living room/kitchen shared with family (2 small children). A simple and authentic place to stay!

Meet with the local Berber nomads for a mint tea and enjoy a guided walk to view the Monkey Fingers rock formation.

After breakfast, you will take the new road through the Saghro mountains.

Lunar landscapes of plateaus, peaks and canyons. In this chaos of black rocks, the small isolated villages made of stone and rammed earth, make you feel like you travelled back in time to a different era.

You'll pass nearby the Saghro peak at 2700 m. Arrival at the village of Nkob and its palm grove.

Then drive to Zagora, in the middle of the green Draa Valley. It has a lush palm grove and is the town of departure for nomadic caravans to Timbuktu.

Arrival in the Sahara desert; ride a camel and spend the night under the stars in a luxury bedouin tent camp catered to western tourists for necessary comfort.

After a lovely typical bedouin breakfast prepared by your local guides, you’ll head back on your camel to the taxi. You’ll start the first leg of the drive back to Marrakesh. You’ll discover Tisselday with its beautiful landscapes and famous film sets.

Enjoy the last few days of your stay to discover the red imperial city of Marrakesh with its medina and souks, the famous blue Majorelle Garden of Yves Saint Laurent, the Bahia Palace and so much more.
