Stroll through the traditional medina surrounding your riad, explore the scenic Kasbah of the Udayas overlooking the ocean, and visit the iconic Hassan Tower and Mohammed V Mausoleum, where Moroccan kings are laid to rest. For a relaxing walk, head to the newly renovated corniche along the sea.

• Discover the Unesco site of the roman ruins of Volubilis (1 hour visit). The city was one of the capitals of Juba II, king of Mauretania, in the first century.

• Visit the imperial city of Meknes (a Unesco world heritage site as well).

• Then head toward Fes, passing through the Meknes countryside, often referred to as a little Tuscany with its vineyards and olive groves. Option to visit a nearby winery.
